To be efficient, barcode verification is designed to meet the regulations set by International Standard of Organisations or ISO for the linear models and for the 2D models. In the United States, the model used for barcode standardisation is ANSI X3.182. The use of barcode readers has been used in many applications, beginning in marketing and to the regulation of the products at the manufacturing end. These uses have helped the manufacturers and retailers the most. The logistic industry has become more organised with the use of barcodes and barcode verification has allowed for advances in the coding technologies. Since there is a clear differentiation of the codes with the confirmation from the readers, they have been developed with lot of precision and designed to cover many operating conditions.
